About QualityMVP

QualityMVP is a Product Development course designed for aspiring Product Managers.

The Learner Units will focus on teaching how to successfully lead the product lifecycle. From identifying user needs and opportunities in the market to organising and working with teams to develop valuable products, services, and effective solutions.

Now more than ever, Product Management career possibilities and opportunities are broadening. Companies are looking towards professional Product Managers to define and sculpt how their business should operate and how their teams should work together to ensure lucrative and customer-satisfying product development.

QualityMVP adopts Scrum and Agile frameworks, practices, and processes for flexible and efficient product development. These frameworks promote self-organising teams, working with customer needs, reflecting on accomplishments, and tackling mistakes to continuously improve.

Assessment:

  • The courses assessment criteria consists of evidence-based documentation.
  • Learner participation will be guided and the progress is tracked.
  • The QualityMVP Foundation course is graded on a basic pass [P] or fail [F] system. 

Learning Materials:

We include a variety of learning materials and resources as part of the QualityMVP service.

These materials will include Unit Presentations, Textbooks, Made Simple Guides, Case Studies, and Reading Lists.

Furthermore, we are always developing our course resources to enhance our learner experience.

Course Units:

There are 6 Units to complete as part of the QualityMVP Foundation course.

Unit 1: The Basic Processes of Product Management.

The aim of this Unit is to provide the learner with an understanding of:

  • The purpose of Product Management.
  • The purpose of QualityMVP.
  • The practices and processes of QualityMVP.
  • The differences between QualityMVP and alternative programmes.

Unit 2: The Idea.

The aim of this Unit is to provide the learner with an understanding of:

  • How to develop, refine, and prioritise ideas.
  • How to identify problems in need of a solution.
  • The purpose of Ideation Workshops and Mind Maps.
  • How to identify risks within ideas.

Unit 3: Exploring The Idea.

The aim of this Unit is to provide the learner with an understanding of:

  • How to identify whether customers are willing to pay for the solution.
  • How to identify any current solutions in the market.
  • How to test your ideas.
  • The purpose of the Business Model Canvas.

Unit 4: The Validation Process.

The aim of this Unit is to provide the learner with an understanding of:

  • Which Business Model and Marketing Channels to pursue.
  • The opportunities and competition within the market.
  • The importance of Prototyping, A/B Testing, User Testing, and Field Experts.
  • The purpose of customer interviews and feedback loops.
  • How to validate/invalidate customer assumption hypotheses.
  • How to establish an MVP as soon as possible.
  • How to prepare for deployment and launch of the product.

Unit 5: The Deployment Process.

The aim of this Unit is to provide the learner with an understanding of:

  • Customer Personas (buyer personas) for your Product.
  • The importance of refining the product through the development stages.
  • The importance of Key Performance Indicators and Metrics.
  • How to Identify Growth Marketing strategies.
  • How to manage risks and the methods used to deploy a product with limited risk.

Unit 6: The Review Process.

The aim of this Unit is to provide the learner with an understanding of:

  • The process of reducing cost while improving service quality.
  • How to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Key Strategic Partnerships.
  • Analysing Data from product reviews.
