Assessment
The qualification will be assessed through a combination of written essays, a portfolio of evidence, professional discussions and observation of occupational competence. All units, assignments and learning materials for the course can be accessed through our online learning platform. Students have 12 months access to the online learning platform where they may study entirely at their own pace. The observations and professional discussions should be completed within a suitable environment and should be carried out by a qualified observer.
Awarding Body
We are an approved centre with ProQual, meaning we can offer approved qualifications through this OFQUAL-regulated, fully accredited awarding body. Working alongside ProQual, we aim to help learners achieve the best results.
The ten units that all learners must complete to gain this qualification are:
- Unit 1 – Develop a strategic business plan
- Unit 2 – Execute a strategic business plan
- Unit 3 – Provide strategic leadership and direction
- Unit 4 – Develop a business strategy
- Unit 5 – Shape organisational culture and values
- Unit 6 – Lead the development of a quality strategy
- Unit 7 – Lead the development of a continuous improvement strategy
- Unit 8 – Establish business risk management processes
- Unit 9 – Manage product and/or service development
- Unit 10 – Lead the development of a knowledge management strategy
- This qualification is suitable for learners of 19 years of age and above.
- Learners must be in a role within the sector where they carry out managerial aspects.
- Learners must be able to demonstrate Maths and English at level 2
- Learners must have access to a qualified observer. This is someone who holds this qualification or an equivalent or higher.
